Ravioli girl

Ava has become quite the I want to feed myself child lately. She is starting to learn how to use a fork but still has trouble getting things to stick on it. Her fav food atm is Ravioli and she can sure make a good mess with it. Here are a few pics of her feeding herself.

I am very happy that ava has a wide range of food she likes to eat.. her brother on the other hand is one picky eater. Even though last nite while watching the wonder pets hunter did ask for a piece of celery and ate the whole thing. So slowly but surely the pickiness is starting to go away. Well I thought I would share these pics with everyone real quick now back off to the kitchen to finish dinner.

Paydays are busy days

So today was a busy busy day. I had asked Nathan before we went to bed last nite to please wake me up when he left for work so I could not oversleep. Well needless to say I was jumping out of the bed at 745 am and running around trying to get everyone up to start our day. Hunter was still passed out in the living room floor ( the boy sleeps in about three different places during the nite) and Miss Ava was quietly awaiting someone to get her out of her bed. After I literally threw clothes on us all grabbed two sippie cups and a bowl of dry cereal, we were off to the bank to get some things straighten out there. A cute moment at the bank, when we were done and I was walking away from the counter, Hunter looked at the teller and said " Good bye and I love you" .. he is too sweet. After the bank, paying dues to union hall, and then a quick grab of coffee and two hashbrowns from McDonald's we headed back home to get some more things together before we visited Lolo at the studio. Once at the studio the kiddos wanted to see Lele and Poppie so bad but they were busy in a session with a lil one. Both of them were very patient with me as I faxed off stuff to places. Can you believe that a mortgage companies fax line is constantly busy?? and I tried both fax numbers lol After trying the number for another 25 mins I finally said forget it and loaded the kiddos back in the car to go home. Unfortunatly that didnt happen, I ended up having to get more info for one place and we were off on another round trip to bank, McDonalds again for a kids meal for kiddos, and then back to the studio to fax another thing off. I am sure Lele and Poppie will soon start charging me to use their fax machine hehe. Finally around noon we were back home. The day progressed pretty much slowly, Ava ended up taking a nice long nap today which she needed. She has been running a temp off and on and has a lil congestion. She has been cutting her first molars for three months now and I think hopefully they are finally almost in. Hopefully with a few breathing treatments we wont have to visit the doctor this week if not then Friday looks like the day for that. Nathan got home around 520 and we ate dinner. After dinner I made my run to Walmart for groceries since I really dont feel like shopping with Ava not feeling well tomorrow. When I got home Hunter helped me put up all the groceries he is really becoming such a big helper, of course ava was there for supervision telling us which bag to unload first. Then it was bedtime for Ava and Hunter settled into watching his shows on tv. He has really gotten into Dora, Deigo, and Niho Kilan (im sure that is spelled wrong). It is so cute hearing him repeat the words in the different languages. Nathan and I got on our game for a bit and ran a few dungeons with our friends. Of course we knew when it was time to get off cause Hunter was jumping up and down announcing the Upside Down show was coming on. This is his fav show and comes on only at 10 pm at nite. Most nites he cant stay awake till it comes on but about 3 times a week he gets to watch it. Me and Nathan just love watching him literally crack up laughing at this show. I really wish it was on earlier during the day or on the on demand feature with Comcast. Well this is it for tonite I am going to now watch the last 20 mins of the Upside Down show with my son. Goodnite everyone.

pass several days

So I havent written anything in a week almost i guess... It is has been pretty busy. Last Thursday we got snow only an inch if you call it that by noon it was almost all melted so I didnt even bother taking any pictures. Nathan had to work only a half a day since the weather was bad and no one tried to come into work except him LOL. On Sunday we had Nathan's bday party at his parents house. It was fun having all the kiddos together. Case, Sam, Hunter, Greta, and Ava all had fun on the gator. Each one of them was good about taking turns. Hunter had an accident and fell off the back of the gator.. it wasnt bad he just got a small booboo on the back of his head which has healed pretty good so far. He was very tuff and only fussed for a few mins .. once he got a popsicle and we cleaned it he was off back jumping around with everyone else. Later that day we all worked together as a family and made Hunter's Valentines box for school. When we went shopping hunter had pick out some thomas stickers and so Lele came up with the idea to make a thomas the train box. Hunter, Sam, Kelly, Lele and I all got to work and helped make Hunter the cutest box. He was and is still very proud of it.

Tuesday was his party and on that day we both overslept. I went running into his room and said oh no hunter we are late for school and he jumped right up saying oh no my thomas box LOL. He got lots of candy at school and it is all just about gone now. I believe he ate most of it the first day. Hunter got two cute outfits from mama lou and daddy mac... and ava got two outfits to play dress up in. One is a princess outfit with a crown and the other is a fairy costume. At some point in time when I can get her to stay still I will post a picture of both. She has played dress up everyday since she got it and Hunter is always telling her how pretty the dress is. This morning Hunter actually brought the dress to Ava telling her to play dress up. It is cute watching them play together. This morning both of them were running around the house yelling and giggling the whole time. Nathan and I both just shook our heads and laughed. Well this is short and sweet but I will be back writting again sooner then later.

Just Another Day

Well I have learned how to add pictures... got a family pic up . This picture was taken by my inlaws who own their own photography studio. I always love how the pictures they take turn out. This was taken in Gatlinburg, we had all gone up their as a family to celebrate my husbands grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. All they wanted for their anniversary was a new family picture and so we all somehow managed to get together for a weekend to do them. Here is a picture of the whole Letson family 4 generations worth. It was very cold that day and my father in law stood in the water to take this picture.

Today has been a busy day. I have been fighting a sinus infection for a few days now and I guess today was my worst day, but I have kept myself busy. I was surprisingly able to get some washing, folding, and dishes done all thru the sneezing and blowing of my nose lol. Hunter kept himself busy most of the day by building choo choo train tracks.

Here are his designs for today. Had to take two pictures of it since it was so big. Hunter sure has become a good designer at railroad tracks. I sure do remember the days though when he would ask me or his dad to build him one and now he builds his own every morning. Ava was needy today, she is still getting over her sinus infection and on her antibotics still. But she seems to be clearing up alot more now then what she was last week. As I said in my previous post she loves to play dress up. Here are two pictures of her playing dress up with her brothers clothes ( for some reason she always pulls his stuff out first lol ).

I know I know she has her brothers underwear on her head.. but when she brought them to me she was trying so hard to put it on her head that i just helped her. Like I said she sure loves to make a fashion statement. At one point today both of the kiddos wanted to climb all over me, and for some reason i decided to start softly screaming and bouncing with them on my lap oh man did they laugh and laugh. All hunter kept saying was do it again mommy and ava was just giggling. It is weird how some small weird things make your kids laugh the most. This evening was our normal tuesday nite. Nathan has class with the electrician union , this is his last year and he will graduate in may. So me and the kiddos curled up on the couch with some popcorn and watched one of my all time fav disney movies Aladdin. Of course I had to wait till Fresh beat band went off before I could turn the tv, and when I did Hunter had a meltdown but as soon as the movie started he got interested in watching it. Of course after about 30 mins both kids lost interest and were off doing other things in the house while mommy was left to watch the movie by herself. After Ava went to bed Hunter had fun playing my video game on the computer. Yes before I say what game it is I am a big nerd. I play World of Warcraft. It is a fun game that both me and my husband enjoy playing together so it is something we have fun doing. Well tonite hunter found that there were boats moving around the towns canals in the game. It sure didnt take him long to figure out that you could jump in them. He spent about thirty mins riding the boats to the end and then finding another one to hop into. I just want to say that kids are genious's today. I dont think I have ever seen a kid pick up how to work around a computer before so fast. He loves youtube and knows how to work it. Of course all he watches is thomas the train videos on there with my supervision since of course we know some people in this world will upload bad videos on the internet. So these were just some of the highlights of my day. I would have to stay us bouncing on the chair and making them laugh was my highlight and put a big smile on my face. My Family

So this is my first blog. I have read a couple of friends and thought that it would be a great idea so here i am lol. My name is Michelle and I am 29 yrs old, I am a stay at home mom for the time being. I have worked but I find liking being at home with my kids plus having dinner for the family what I like most. When I worked me and my husband had separate schedules so normally it was him cooking if you called it cooking lol. I am married to great, funny, loves to pick on me man named Nathan. We meet back at Hollywood Video where yes I was his boss (which didnt last for long since it was just a second job for him). We have been together for six years and married for four years. We have two wonderful children... Hunter who is 3 and Ava who is almost 15 months old. Hunter is an exact replica of me.. or so I think... his stubborness sometimes and the way he gets frustrated reminds me of myself. He loves Thomas the train! that is all he does most of the day is play his make believe stories out with his trains or have fun watching thomas episodes. Hunter is our lil monkey or aka hunterman as i have called him majority of the time. And when I say lil monkey he sure is ... nothing is out of reach for this child. At ava's age hunter was climbing stools, crawling over couches, and knocking his dresser over at 2. So far no broken bones yet. Hunter is very much a ruff and tuff kid .. always going and going and finally after 12 hrs he will crash . Ava is our little destroyer... everything in her path isnt safe. She is also called the wipe monster since she has a fascination of destroying the wipes. Ava reminds me of her Lele. You put them together and you would think you saw double. Even though she looks like her lele she has her daddy's ways. Nathan would disagree sometimes but he is the person if it isnt done my way then it is wrong. Ava is the same way. You dont give her juice or food at the right time she sure lets you know. She also is a lil diva in her own... I did not encourage it but it came out on its own. She loves to play dress up with any item of clothing she can find and carry bags around with her. But her favorite thing to carry most of the time is her lil walrus.

This is my family.. i love the new things that we encounter everyday. The days are filled with cleaning, caring for boo boos, cooking, running around, dancing to yo gabba gabba and anything else that can fit its way in. I guess I can talk about myself a bit without boring anyone since it is the first post... I am sure the others may be a bit more interesting. Other than what I have already said I guess I am a typical female.. I have my moments like everyone else does. I have lived in Alabama since I was five and I sometimes wish to leave here I kinda feel stuck. This place has a homey feeling. I guess to best explain it is true what they say of southern hospitality .. you do still find it in certain areas more than others. I always loved living in Lawrence county everyone there was so nice. I would ride down the road as a kid or even now and people passing you will wave or someone on their front porch will wave. The only family I have here is my dad.. my mom passed when I was 13. The rest of my family lives up north or over in England so I have relied on my mom and now dad alot. I always wondered about having your family living close by.. but now as i have gotten older I do miss that I havent seen my family as much as I wanted to but kinda glad that the times I do see them it is really special. When I meet Nathan I got to experience the family living close by. Nathan has grown up in the area we live since he was a baby. His parents, grandparents, and everyone else just about lives in this area too. I have enjoyed having them close by alot and glad that I do get to experience the closeness that you get when your family lives close. Nathan is a goofball .. and I say that in a good way . I love him to death.. he works hard and still comes home with sometimes enough energy to bug me to death just to make me laugh or smile. He definitly knows how to aggervate me .. I sometimes give him a hard time but if he didnt do it he wouldnt be Nathan at all. I am sure when he finds out I have a blog he will find a way to pick on me about it. He will probaly laugh but oh well.

Well I guess this is all I will post tonite.. sometime tomorrow I will figure out how to load pics and dress up the blog but since it is almost 1am this is all I will do now.
